Default Transport Tires

Has anybody ever tried to use the delivery Transport Tires for a wet weather trackday ? ?

Do they work like normal wet tires ?
Optically they are identical to normal P2L wet tires and the rubber is as soft (so it seems)

Curious as i have 15 sets that deserve to be used when possible

;-)

My assumption is they are just old wets. Race teams generally consider them as trash once they are a year old. So I’m sure there are piles of the old tires around that Porsche just grabs and smacks the transport tag on. I actually had the thought to try them in the rain myself. Just haven’t had the opportunity yet.

A fellow racer did so with good results. It seems and is told to be just : 1 year+ old rain tyres.

For whoever lives in Europe, i have 15 sets for 992 Cup available and these will most likely also fit 991 Cups
