Congrats! Good news is that when you deal with race cars you deal direct with PMNA and dealers don't get involved.

Would love to see your car when it arrives!! I think it'll make the rest of us drool--PAG hasn't done a painted cup car since the 993 era. You getting yours in blue or white?

I'll be sure to photo it up in dec/jan when it gets here. I went with white.

Congrats! When the North American allocation numbers aren't completely sold in a given year, we get these special opportunities (PCA Cup, Cup MR, etc). Enjoy!

Until then, I just dont see it happening. You can present all the reduced costs data , but the increased safety is not bad untill you look to the 997s that could have been forced to install ABS for safety, but never was and never will.
+1
that is what i thought as well

so, $268k net after getting sales tax back...

VERY important to note that once you have the car, you’re just getting started with spending $$$ - and you should do so with a race shop that REALLY knows what they’re doing...

additional costs include:
- dyno/break-in time...
- abs kit - must have, if at all possible...
- additional sets of wheels - preferably 4...
- radio/video systems...
- cool suit cooler...
- wrap design/cost...
- tires - the gift that keeps on taking - “hey - the first set is on me...”
- race shop track prep...
- hit/touch something - it IS going to happen...

it’s an expensive hobby/sport/mistress...

but it’s really good for your mental state - and i mean REALLY GOOD...

and there’s NO WAY i’m giving it up anytime soon...

not much more then a SRO 2019 718 GT4CS.
The CUP operating cost is much higher however.

I assume the 2020 992 Cups will go to IMSA Cup customers first...
I wonder if they will finally come standard with ABS?
