WTB 997.2 GT3 Cup Rear Decklid Filler Panel
Howdy,
I know these are OOP. And I have an OEM fetish. That makes me without much a needed part. I am willing to pay an outrageous sum for the filler panel that sits between the decklid and window. There must be someone who switched from the 997 to 991 and is willing to part with a spare. Please let me know if you have one. My only requirement is its POMO and undamaged. I used this strategy when I sought another OOP item and I paid 3x the new price. I am willing to do it again despite protests from my wife. Please PM me if you have one. Thanks in advance. Best Josh

Hey Rickard,
Hope you are well! I should know the answer to your question but I don't. I'll do some research today. Thanks again. BTW the other part is perfect.

Thanks Tye! I'm pleading with anyone that has switched to the 991 platform or has a spare lying around to sell it to me. Rickard can vouch for me. I keep my word. I'll pay 3x or $1500 for an undamaged POMO 997.2 GT3 Cup filler panel. Thanks again! Best Josh

Hey D!
Thanks for the heads up. I've seen the pic of the panel on Tye' car. No good. However I don't think Porsche will build the RS panel again. And locating a used RS panel from a dismantler is virtually impossible. Tye had the option of sourcing an RS panel and you and I dont...
I've also seen another RL'r car with a POMO panel that looks great. I'm willing to give it a chance. If I have to buy five of them to convince me it won't work I'll buy five of them.
My original offer of $1500 stands. In fact I'll keep buying POMO panels until I find one that fits. Thanks again.

PS D, Send me pics of your car

Just curious if you found one and installed it? I just purchased an oem gt2rs (997.2) carbon fiber filler panel and was wondering how to install it? There are 3 obvious screws on the bottom closest to the bumper that are easily accessible but there are two more that need to be removed and are not easily accessible.
I’m wondering if you know how to access them? It looks like you have to go through the rear carpet?

Yes, you nailed it. Slowly pull the top rear carpet piece towards you. There are two primary tabs, one at each end near the rear quarter panel vents to your left and right. You'll see the two screws. They are easy to remove uness you have a roll bar. I'm still hurting and bruised from squeezing through my roll bar. Before you tighten everything make sure the panel is aligned with your decklid. Now tighten everything. Follow the torque instructions. I used a firm but not extreme tightening. I think you'll see what I mean. The carbon GT2 RS panel is a nice piece and you don't want to damage it. Best Josh 415 516-5778 PS Without the kind people in this forum I would have never located the panel. Thanks aggain!
