Default Cup Steering Wheel Button Plate

Hi All,
I recently installed a 2017 Cup steering wheel in my (non-airbag) 1986 951. I'd like to hook up horn buttons but am having a terrible time tracking down the correct Porsche backing plate/buttons. Does anyone know the correct part number or where it can be purchased?

Thanks!

There was a thread on this in the cup forum not long ago. Buttons can be purchased individually. Had thread bookmarked until Window gave me the permanent BSOD and I lost the BM. Should not be too hard to track down.

Found it: https://rennlist.com/forums/porsche-...-switches.html

We normally just drill a hole in the left metal arm near the alcantara for a push to talk button. Horn would be the same.

If it helps, I drew this up off those fvd pics, scaled to bolt circle diameter of 70mm. If anyone wants to print to scale and double check dimensions I can easily adjust as necessary and upload a dwg.

That was my thread on the buttons above. I made my own cad like above and then bought carbon sheets from amazon. Used a router, sander, dremel and drill to make my own for $30 plus the buttons. Looks like the real thing, but of course.. isn't.
If you don't want to do all of this yourself, google gaming rig steering wheels. There are a number of amateur manufacturers of button plates who will make ones identical to mine for around $100-150 shipped.

Would you be able to send me the CAD drawing for this? I have printed this out to test fit it on the actual steering wheel and it looks spot on.

Planning to use the CAD drawing to find someone to cut this out of a CF plate.

Thank you!

Even though it has a bunch of garbageware/ fake download buttons (use an ad blocker) I uploaded it here:

enjoy!

Awesome! Thank you for you effort and sharing it here.

Hopefully I can get somebody to cut this out now so I can get the project moving along.

Thanks

Thumbs up

That looks good! But I'm looking for a CF piece to match the original found on the cup cars
