https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...6-cup-car.html
This is a factory GT3 Supercup Car originally sold to Farnbacher Racing in Germany. It was raced by Farnbacher (driven by Marcus Marshall) in the Porsche Supercup series at the Indianapolis Grand Prix in September 2003 finishing in 6th and 7th in the two races. It was next raced at the Rolex 24 at Daytona 24 in 2005 by the Aussie Assault team where Marcus Ambrose was one of the drivers.
Following the 2005 Daytona race, the car was completely rebuilt by TRG including a new tub, and sold to Zotz Racing upgraded it to meet Grand Am specs including a complete engine and transmission rebuild by Porsche Motorsports. It was then raced in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2006 where it finished 8th in GT class and 19th overall.
Light DE and club racing from 2007 until 2011, with the last race being the PCA Octoberfest at Daytona in 2011. I purchased the car in January 2013 and the car was refurbished by Fiorano Racing (Toronto) in the winter of 2013 and used for DE only in 2013 and 2014. The car has been maintained and stored but not been driven since fall 2014 and had a new ATL Fuel Cell installed in 2015.
The PMNA 3.6 engine has approx 85 hours, and the transmission has approx. 30 hours since total rebuild. Car is currently in Grand Am trim so would run GTA1, but I have the original wing and splitter (and assorted spares) necessary to return to original (GTC3) spec.
This car is very clean with a straight chassis and the original Wagenpass. Asking $65K US or BRO for car and all spares. For more information and a list of the spares and additional parts, please contact me at sburks4@gmail.com

Didn't know that this was one of yours Glen, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I bought the car from the previous owner (in Orlando) but I've never been really clear on the ownership trail from 2006 - 2013 before I bought it. Sounds like it has been around (but in good hands) a little more than I thought.
Ron zitza came out and looked it over prior to purchasing it for the 2006 24 hour race. Thompson funded the purchase.
PM me and I will give you my cell, will fill in a lot of blanks for you...

The car has street car mirrors. Were the Cup mirrors removed for some reason? GLWS

yes they were removed in advance of the 24 effort to allow changes to mirror angle from inside the car. This allows the variety of drivers to change mirror angle to suit different drivers size and seating positions.
