Default Wear with Pirelli DHC Compound?

Would like to hear from others running Pirelli's on 991 Cup and rate of wear with DHC compound on rears. Ran a new to me 15 991 last week and was shocked at the rate of wear experienced in the rears, 4 cycles and they were completely worn down. Trackside support was Topp Racing and they have never seen such progressive wear. Setup is fine and wear was even across both right rears. The fronts wore as expected with plenty of rubber left following 4 cycles. Ambient temp range was 35-45 degrees and tire pressures always maintained as required. I've run DH compound on 997 Cup and never experienced this rate of wear. Shop contacted Jackson MS's and was told the DHC and DH compound have same wear rate and claim the DHC's have been run in 17 with zero issues as described.

Bumping this thread to see if anyone who's run the DHC compound on a 991 Cup has experienced extreme wear with the rears despite optimal setup. The wear was rapid (5 heat cycles) and uniform across the tire.

I hadn't even noticed the compound had changed until I saw your post, so I checked the tires I ordered a couple weeks ago and ran at Sebring (Yes, they were DHC...I just said "send me two sets" without knowing the DH/DHC change). I cant say I noticed any unusual wear but I'll keep a closer eye on them now. This was on a 997-R - which has the same rear sizes as the 991.1/2 cup but the fronts are much bigger (325/660).

Hey Joe,
We've run them all this year and have not experienced any abnormal wear.
I think the first race we had them at was Atlanta then ran LRP, WGI, Mosport, Road America
We had one L/R fail at the Glen in the enduro but otherwise no issue
We usually use them for 3 sessions then toss to stay competitive
