Indeed that sequential is probably the biggest oxymoron in the 997... that box really loved it rough... so much that towards the end of a session my shifts would get iffy, not because of the car but because of an exhausted right arm!! Towards the end I even programmed the Motec SLM to show a lil green light to reinforce my behavior with every "good" forceful shift...

Interesting ABS discussion... you're right i don't think it's about cost anymore. More likely an attempt at separating the wheat from the chaff esp. among the aspiring young guns. For mere mortals like me, it just adds to the thrill of each big braking zone in the wet
