I checked the noise limits from the rules

The maximum permitted noise limit for classes V1, V2, V3, V4, V5, V6, VT1, VT2, VT3 and Cup5, is 128 dB(A) measured in compliance with the LWA procedure, and 96 dB(A) measured in compliance with the LP procedure; for all other classes of cars, the limit is 130 dB(A) measured in compliance with the LWA procedure, and 98 dB(A) measured in compliance with the LP procedure.
Our class is SP6 so it is 130dB(A) drive-by. Anyone know what the 997.1 makes without mufflers? The measuring point is in the ditch just before flugplatz so normally you are WOT there.

my guess if you bag the side mufflers but keep the center, 110 db....maybe even a 105db...

Car is ready! Going for engine tuning and traction control installation tomorrow. Temperature is also rising and snow is melting away. Next week we will be testing! =)

Car looks good! Did you hear anything regarding other SP6 cars / plans?

We also do the 997 rollout on 16.3. (GP only) and 17.3 (VLN Variant).

Cheers,
Dirk

Thanks!

Yes, we plan also to do rollout on 16.3.
Car has been on dyno yesterday for 3hrs (running in) and today they are working on the mapping for the 3.5

As far as I know, we will be the only CUP cars in SP6 but of course we don't know for sure before the registering ends. =)

The Saturday official test was cancelled but luckily we got to drive the GP track for 5 hours in wet on Friday.
Car worked awesome from the get-go. The team had done a tremendous job!! Really looking forward to next weekend and VLN1.

Our incar camera system was actually the only item that didn't work during the test (because I forgot to bring the SD card).
So no in-car footage from friday but a short clip from outside the car in the pitlane.
