Default Aftermarket gauges

Has anybody here installed aftermarket gauges in the 986 or 987? I want to add both oil pressure and oil temp gauges to my track car. There are obviously both oil temperature and pressure sensors in place, the former for the electronic dipstick, and the latter for the oil pressure warning light, but I (a) don't know exactly where they are and (b) don't know if there is a CANBUS or the like with takeoff points I can tap into.

Anyone done this who can steer me in the right direction?

Default Oil pressure and temp

For oil pressure I used this marine gauge because it allows alerts for high or low with an audible alarm when pressure falls below your set point. It can be calibrated to work with the VDO type sender which Porsche uses. That calibration is: (U-4: VDO 217A: 10 - 180 ohm sender, 0-75 p.s.i.).

I used it with the sender described in this write-up.

I also added a Sonalert SC307NR since the audible alert in the guage is not very loud. This sonalert input matches the aux output of the OP60.

I get good oil temperature info from the CANbus at the ECU and display it on an AiM Solo DL.

Thank you, sir!

I'm also looking at a wireless system from Autometer.

A Cobb Accessport will also display that information.
