My wife's Cayman needs front and rear brakes (pads, rotors, sensors). I am doing the work myself. Car is not tracked or autocrossed. I just need decent quality stuff. Car has 63K miles on it.

I've used Zimmerman rotors on my 928 and like them, but I see there are many pad/rotor manufacturers. What is a decent pad to use but not outrageously priced? Also, are the Sebro rotors any good?

Sebro rotors are good to go.

Textar is an OEM supplier, they should be good.

I just received the Sebro rotors. They certainly look like very nice quality rotors. I am waiting on pads and sensors and I will post my impressions once I get the job done. Thanks for the tip HoBo!

I ended up ordering ATE front pads and Textar rear pads. Sensors are Sebro.

Rotors were worn past discard spec- which is a bit surprising considering they lasted only 22K miles. The PO had the fronts replaced at an Indy shop. No idea yet as to what brand they put on, or the pads. He did do some autocrossing but still...

Finished this job up over the weekend. Very pleased with the parts I ordered, certainly met my expectations. Rotors were a few tenths of a mm from discard spec but I did them anyway, brakes feel great. It's nice for once to work on a Porsche that isn't 30 years old (my 928)!!

What brake pads did you install finally?

Front are ATE and rears Textar. They dust far less than the brembos that I replaced, which is an unexpected bonus. The sensors are Sebro, which fit perfect and had the correct grommets for support on the rear brakes and shielding- at a fraction of the cost of OEM of course!
