Going to place a feeler ad for my car, may need to sell. Where should I start?
Sorry in advance for what I know is probably an ignorant question but I haven't sold a car in my life, only dealer trades.
My car is a 4,000 mile SBM with buckets, PCM, PCCB, SC, leather, dual zone, and nothing else really of note... I'd say it's all the right options. The front half of the car is wrapped clear as is the area behind the rear wheels. I am in the process of buying a third home and am going to keep the sale of my car in my back pocket in case **** hits the fan, would like to get an ad out to gauge interest and see what the value is.
I'm really looking for any input on where to start, is Craigslist where most people sell cars nowadays? I'm thinking $120K is within reach but probably optimistic, the local dealer has a similarly equipped car with 100 miles and certified they say will sell for $135K.
Thanks!

I would say you and that dealer are very optimistic. Best way is to look at ebay , cargurus etc. find comparable cars and gauge from there. What was MSRP? Others can chime in but I dont see any going for 10k over anymore at that mileage, but doesnt mean it couldnt for the right build and buyer.

MSRP was 107 on it.
I have no desire to sell the car, I really just want to get an educated idea of how much cash I have sitting there in case I need to tap into it.
Thanks for your insight.

All GT4s have "buckets". Which model buckets are yours?
In order to sell on here you would have to be a paid member.
Dealers always seem to get more than private individuals for some odd reason.
And if you need to sell it fast you will need to price it accordingly.

Figure $110,000 would be the right starting price. Do not think you will get $13,000 over and why deal with all the BS of keep on lowering it ect.
Also - ask your Dealer if he has a Buyer. Maybe he can flip it and grab 10%. This way you buy some love for when you want another GT

I respectively don't think you can compare your price for a 4,000 mile car to the dealer's 100 mile car.
The spread between sell / buy for that $135k GT4 is probably $15k for the dealer and a CPO is probably $4000 so you are at $116k comparable before you factor in your mileage.
Buyers will pay much more for a virgin.

Perhaps altering the appearance of your car (ie: Plastidipping some parts) may rekindle your love that you felt the first day you got the car

Plus lots of $$ and car people in your area plus tax benefit of a private sale should help get more $$ on the sale.

List it here if you decide to sell.
I'd start at $112k. As the rest of the country thaws out, there will be more buyers.
I've also listed cars on e-bay. Never sold one through their site, but did get buyers.

Took my GT4 into the dealer to get a track inspection last week. Took a GT3 for a test drive while I waited.
Dealer told me they'd give me MSRP (which is what I paid for it) in trade if I wanted the GT3.
This is with 4000 miles and 8 track days on it. I kept the GT4. GT3 is a monster, but not as engaging to me, and I can see why people want both.
GT4s are still holding value!
