I did a search on multiple places and got some weird information.


Ordering rotors for my Cayman S 981 and found out these values for rotor thickness:


Front - Original thickness = 28mm Minimum = 26mm
Rear - Original thickness = 24mm Minimum = 22mm


Are these correct?


I ordered some rear rotors from PelicanParts and received rear rotors that were 20MM thickness. (I ordered with my model and year)


This was the part number I was given for my order:
987-352-401-01-M294


Info from order:
Brake Disc (Rear Left or Right)
Brand: Sebro Coated Note: Not for cars with option I450 Ceramic Brake Disc. (2014 Porsche Cayman S Hatchback)
Part #: 987-352-401-01-M294


Do I have wrong information?

As per Porsche, THICKNESS is front = 28mm, rear = 20mm. The diameter is front = 330mm and rear is 299mm.

You should be able to measure the thickness of the rotors on the car, measure the thickness over the lips that form at the outer edge of the rotor and come up with a number pretty close to the new thickness.

What you measure should tell you if the thickness is 24mm or 20mm.
