HELP!! Left rear suspension parts wanted...
Guys,
I have been a Rennlist contributor/reader/pseudo-member since it was just a mailing list for front engined watercooled cars. I have owned several 944s of various types.
I was driving a friends 2007 Cayman S at Mosport, and I ran out of talent in turn 9, spun around, and made contact with the pit entrance divider. I feel horrible about it, and I would like to repair his car back to original shape... however I can't really afford to just buy new parts at the Porsche dealer, so I am putting out a call to anybody who may have parts available to help out a crappy situation. (Please no comments about how I shouldn't drive other people's cars... I have been track driving for over 12 years, and mistakes happen.)
In general, we require left rear suspension parts, and a rear bumper cover for a 2007 Cayman S. (No parking sensors, manual transmission)
I will also consider interesting options that are an improvement/upgrade. Just in case somebody is wondering, here is the part numbers and a short description of what I require:
Mechanical Parts:
991-341-605-03 WHEEL HUB
987-331-043-02 AS TRAILING ARM
997-331-053-03 AS WISHBONE
987-331-158-06 AS WHEEL CARRIER (knuckle)
986-331-071-11 AS CROSSRAIL
987-331-052-04 AS MEMBER SIDE PART
987-333-051-13 AS VIBRATION DAMPER (Rear Strut)
987-333-059-00 SUPPORT MOUNT RA (Rear strut mount)
Bidy Parts:
987-505-411-39 LINING (Rear Bumper)
987-505-632-05 LATERAL PANEL
987-504-794-00-01C COVER,LATERAL
987-504-574-01 AS FENDER SHIELD
I apologize to the moderators if this post is inappropriate... this is a bit more than just "parts wanted" as it's also a lesson to those out there... You can drive a friends car at a track, just don't go 10/10ths trying to be a hero.
Thanks for your consideration,
Patrick

Suggest also post in the Racing and Drivers Education forum. There are some converting Caymans to race cars like Spec Cayman and they may have or know of parts from donors. Best of luck.

I think Paseb in the Canadian forums sells 987 parts. IIRC, he had posted http://www.987part.com/ before. Maybe worth reaching out to him? Best of luck!
