Default Wheel size with big brakes

Getting a Cayman R with PCCB and need to know what size wheels I can put over these.

Ideally, for track tires I'd like to run 18's but I'm not sure if they'll fit or if I need a particular offset. My understanding is the rotors are 350mm.

My searches have revealed nothing.

I run 18" OZ Alleggeritas on my car with 340mm Girodiscs and there is plenty of room so you should be fine. I've seen pictures of the Brembo 6P calipers with 380mm rotors with OZ 18's as well with slight shaving on the calipers. Even though the PCCB front calipers are larger then stock it shouldn't be close with 350mm rotors. Brembo for sure and possibly Girodisc make replacement steel rotors for PCCB cars which might be a wise investment if you are going to do a lot of track time.

We highly upgrading to the Brembo Type3 racing 2 piece discs paired up with RE10 pads for track use over the standard PCCB brakes on the Cayman. Lower running costs long term with iron brakes and more pad options.

PM for pricing if interested.

Thanks for everyone's responses.

I'll tackle the wheel tire combo over the winter. Same for the PCCB swap. I like the feel of the PCCBs for the street.

I've looked into replacement rotors and to a lesser degree pads. I like Brembo products but can't justify the 50% cost premium over Girodisc.

Yes, the Brembo package is more expensive initially. However, they do last longer and are more reliable than some of the other cheaper options.

There is a reason why most racing teams and we use Brembo.

Just my .02

I have read of Girodisc problems. There are reports of Brembo issues too. And RB, and.....

No product is 100% perfect, 100% of the time thought we wish they were, especially in regards to items like brakes.

Thanks everyone for their responses and input.

I've got 350mm Girodiscs that replaced my oem 350mm PCCB rotors front and back. I run oem 18" Cayman wheels for the track and another 18" wheel set with winter tires without any issues. I've also had no issues with the Girodiscs.

Thanks STLPCA.

I will likely go with Girodisc. I've tried to see if there are any one piece rotor options because $600/rotor still seems kinds crazy but rotor offesets seem to be an issue.

Can you give me an idea of pad sizes? Some resources say 996 GT3 front are correct for these calipers. Some say 997 GT3. Looks like those front sizes are the same.

And I've read the same for the rears; some say 996 GT3 some say 997 GT3. Those don't seem to be the size.

Thanks a ton.

I use Pagid yellows as my Girodisc street/track pads. The Pagid sizes are: F/2707 R/2405. The rear pad is the same size as the front on a steel rotor 987 Cayman S. The front is the same fitment as (per a vendor listing):
996 GT3 2002-05
996 GT3 Super-Cup 2002-05
996 GT2 2002-05
997 Turbo 2006+
997 GT2 2006+
997 GT3 2006+
997 GT3 RS 2006+
