Default My First Post, My First Porsche

Hi,

Greetings from Ireland. I am on the lookout for a Cayman S (981), and unfortunately there are none for sale in Ireland at present, however i would love some advice so i can be prepared for when one does pop up:

01 - what is the best transmission (manual or automatic (paddle shift))? I know this will be a preference to some, but i'd love to hear both arguments as to why one is better than the other :-) I've always had a manual car as a i felt it was a better driving experience, and i've also found that some automatic / paddle shifts are not really paddle shift at the end of the day... anyway, i am looking forward to hearing the facts and opinions on the 981 transmission options.

02 - there seems to be so many options on 981s that really influence the prices... what options are 'must have' options, and what options can you really live with out.

Thanks in advance for your help on this... and if you know anyone in Ireland with a 981, please let me know, thank you :-)
