Sorry, per post 7, Cars with S in the VIN were assembled in Germany, U were in Finland. I know that applies to 987s generally, not sure about Cayman R. But included it.

Also, for those entering unknown for build date, there should be a tag on the inside door (at least for US models) with Vin, GVWR etc and in tiny numbers will be the build month and year.

Thanks

I looked closely and couldn't see it there on my ROW car.

Thanks for that.

I added date of manufacture (3/11) to my entry.

10 cars so far:
. 50/50 on PDK/Manual
. 50/50 on LWB/Other seats.

So far, the PDK and LWB combination are far more common that Manual and LWB. It will be interesting to see how this progresses as we get more data points.

Default cayman R registry

I have updated the list. Thank you for participating. The data is coming in slowly but we are getting closer to a first look summary check point.
Thanks again

The experience tracking down the 120 odd RHD Turbo 3.6 was that many owners have no interest/interactions in forums so we used number plates to identify cars rather than rely on their owners to come forward. I don't think we can do that here and it might not resolve the most interesting point, LWB and Gearbox choice anyway. Based on the current GT4 debate over limited supply of LWB affecting people's choice I think a waiting R buyer would do well to target a manual/LWB combo if it comes to market, or will there be some seat swapping? First World problems!

Default Cayman R Registry

You are the 3rd Aqua Blue Metallic so far in our Registry. If i am right about the range of series numbers your serial number is toward the end of the run. Thanks for registering.
