Default Crikey! it's a Cayman S!

I found the cayman S! as for a PPI im having it done by a local (relative to the car) porsche dealership with seemingly very cool staff... My question is: along with PPI and leakdown what else is a good idea to get inspected?

Have the dealer print you out a build sheet for that VIN.

Get a DME readout for the over-rev report, the 987.2 cars are very solid and have very few if any common problems. So a standard PPI should be more than sufficient.

As AP997S stated the dealer can print you a build sheet that will have all the options codes, including LSD.

dme looks like it reads 87 ignitions in range 1. at 577 hours. I was unable to read the total hours of the car but am having it refaxed. initial ppi looks good says the service manager. I think this is going to be the one now im just waiting to see if the dealer has accepted my quote.

Default PPI

I just took delivery of my 08 Cayman S bought it based on a freind doing the test drive and a PPI. I was told that a level 1-2 over rev is not a concern at all, if I remember the conversation with the dealer they only start getting concerned at level 3-5, at which time a car like that would not likey be able to be CPO.

This is my first fun car and I dont consider myself much of a tech guy at all but loving this car so far

@tfeiten Yeah it sounds like a blast of a car - hopefully I can get one too... The dealer wasn't sure what they wanted, but I know by the numbers they were spitting out it was way too much.
