Default Hard wired radar detector in 14 Cayman

Just finished hard wiring my radar detector in my 2014 Cayman. I used the Blend Mount under the mirror and routed to the fuse panel left of the footwell instead of tapping into the mirror.

If I were going to add a detector, I think I'd put the detector itself behind the bumper or inside the mirror and put the display only in a suitably visible but obscure location.

I swap out 2 detectors occasionally between three cars so this set up works good for me. The mirror set ups have the display high as well, are typically bigger and I can pop this off in 1 second to swap it out. I have heard the bumper mounts can get crudded up and lose sensitivity unless you keep them free of bugs and road grime. But am not totally against it if I don't want the flexibility to bounce it around to other vehicles.
