Not sure if anyone is interested but I have just stripped mine down and will be sending the dials away to be remanufactured in a different colour, I imported my car and as such the speedo read in kmh, I am changing this to mph and having them done in yellow.

Was a bit nervous but they are not that hard to do at all.

Very nice. Can you post a how to? Or at least some info on breaking down the dash display stuff?

Forums on top look like a DIY section here. Or just post to this thread is fine imo tho moderators might move it.

I changed the instrument faces on my Volvo V70 to the much more highly prized V70R version, for $125.

Buy inoperable instrument pod on fleabay, remove needles and faces, replace. Add some sexy LED lighting while you're in there. Good to go.

I guess Stuttgart feels differently.

EDIT: Found some black faced clusters at the $200 level. Considering if I can get the price point down to $150 or so. I'm not a fan of the aluminum face appearance.

Been meaning to reply I found a place that has a pretty good price for gauge faces:
www.porschedials.com

Tho I have since opted to retain my center gray gauge face. I've decided my red notch steering wheel is enough and gauge face would detract from that accent...but wanted to share link.

I bought a black faced instrument pod from a 987 Boxster.

Unfortunately, it's speedometer is 175 MPH max. Mine is 190.

So, it looks like I will swap the tachometer face for classic black, and keep Cayman grey for the side tach and fuel/temperature gauges.

I will do a full LED backlight upgrade while I have the cluster out. But, that will come after shifter, cables, console and suspension projects.
