Cayman S as a daily driver. Am I crazy?

Radar detector but why?
I bought my car as a DD. I find it quite refined for DD'ing compared to my 2nd gen Miata. Not quite luxury car levels of quiet but exceptional for this type of car (mid-engine, RWD, sportscar, etc).
That said, it seems to make more tire/road noise at lower speeds. Puzzling isn't it?

radar detector because it is easy to get a speeding ticket in these cars.

Ultimately, I would suggest driving several differently optioned Caymans if possible. Try S and non-S variants, Caymans with or without PASM, and even drive down a road that isn’t perfect during the test drive. With a little luck, I’m sure you’ll find one that’s just right. Good luck!
