When will the new Cayman have the R version? I just drove the Cayman S and was blown away. Any chance Porsche will introduce it sooner than they did with the 987 version? I would be happy with them giving it the same hp as the base 991 and the R upgrades. We know Porsche won't give us more power than the Carrera.

No one really knows.

I believe that if they do make another light-weight Cayman version, it will be at least 5 years. But again, just a total guess based on the past Cayman history.

In less than 30 days I will be offering a 981 Cayman with a 991 engine and 6-piston calipers and seats with suede bits s for sale . Coming soon to a South Florida Porsche showroom near you!

The current S is pretty close to last gen R... lighter, same spring/shock rates, wider track, negligeable power difference. If/when they release a new R, it should be impressive.
