Hey All - a long-time lurker here,

I'm about to buy out the lease of my 2010 Cayman S. The dealer offered to CPO for a price of $3200, excluding any work that needs to be done. Has anyone done this recently, and if so, was this about the price for it?

The only posts I could find with numbers were 4+ years old and were in the $2000 range. Made me a bit worried that I'm being gouged here.

I think that number is quite high. I can't remember the actual number they gave me, but when I bought mine in December of 2012, the dealer told me that the CPO cost around $1700 excluding work that needed to be done. Maybe it was less, around $1400. But it certainly wan't even $2k.

When I was looking for a car a couple of months ago, I was quoted pretty much the same amount to CPO (plus whatever needs to be fixed to get it there) the car. Don't remember the exact amount now, but it was in a range of 3-3.5k.

Thanks Ya'll. I called around a bit and confirmed a few things for future reference to anyone else.

Porsche currently charges the dealer about $1900. It does take some time to do the inspection and paperwork, so it's reasonable to expect some markup on top of that. I ended up paying ~$2500 and am happy with how it worked out.
