the engine made 740bhp with k26 turbos, 6 twm throttle bodies and carbon fibre plenums. it made more power at the same boost when i went from k24s and 1 single throttle body.
i say made because i couldnt use above 550-600 with this engine in my old gt2 race car, as good as it handled and i won many races against new porsches i couldnt get good traction through fast corners like copse at silverstone. flat in 4th gear would have a bit of oversteer. we tried everything but it would always have a slight problem. im hoping the mid engine layout of the cayman gives better handling than my old rear engined monster. im hoping i can wind the boost back up and use the engines maximum power.
im goin to weigh the car soon as most of the parts are now fitted, i didnt want to weigh it earlier with half the parts missing. my old gt2 was 1140kg so im guessing more weight as the cayman has 12inch front wheels compared to 10s on the gt2. plus bigger brakes etc. it all adds up unfortunatly. a 997 rsr is 1200kg so im hoping for around that figure. my engine weighs more than the rsr motor but ive cut out a lot of weight from the car. we will soon see! im hoping to get some more pictures soon as well

Very cool. Thank you for sharing.
Is that an Air Cooled engine going into the Cayman Body? Interesting set up and how do you plan to keep it cool in the middle of the car?
