Default Cayman R CDR-30 Bluetooth Question

I have a minor question for those with factory BT- Does your phone auto connect with the car when you get in, or do you have to go to Phone/Setup/Device/Select/ Connect (or something like that) in order to get the devices to talk. The phone is "authorized" and the BT works fine. All other experience with BT devices has them hook up without doing anything after the initial "handshake". But I have to always tell the car to connect. Phone is a palm Pre.
Thx

Bluetooth, whether factory or aftermarket, should always auto-connect. Your phone's settings may be set not to autoconnect.

I have OEM Bluetooth in my CDR-30 car, and it has always auto-connected to all my phones, whether Android or iPhone. No experience with Palm Pre nor Blackberry though.

Thanks. Thats what I thought.
I just wanted to make sure it wasnt a P-car thing. I guess Ill delete the phone from the car memory and do it over. I was hesatant to do that because I think Ill have to reinstall all the contacts again.
My phone auto connects to my other car without a problem.

FOLLOW UP: I deleted the phone from the car kit and re installed. Now it works as it should. I did have to re install the contacts.
