My First Cayman S!
#2
I know some people equate clear bras with leaving plastic covers on your sofa; however, I'm glad I got one on my car, because the low hood on the Cayman is a regular gravel magnet. I only wish I had gotten the full hood done, rather than just the bottom 1/3 since I have a couple of small chips above the bra.
Try to find the shop in your area that does the work for the dealers or comes highly recommended, and get a quote directly from them, rather than going through your dealer who is just going to sub it out anyway, and charge more for the same thing. I also recommend X-Pel headlamp shields as well to protect your headlamps and fogs - it is a pretty easy DIY job.

exactly what KS-CS said
had clear bra on my 07 CS, wish I had it on full hood instead of 1/3 up
after removing it, some serious imperfections in the clear bra, nothing on the paint, highly recommend it
also, get the edges wrapped
good installer is the key to a great looking clear bra

I did mine with "speed-film". From the A-pillars forward, mirrors, 1/3 of the top and rear wheel wells. Looks great! One of the installers has his 2007 Cayman fully covered.
