I think Ernest means that you NEED some front downforce. I was looking into getting a wing for DE use but learned that unless you add some counteracting front downforce you will be floaty as hell. I drive my car to the track so I'm SOL, any effective splitter is going to be too low.

FWIW I saw a Chris Smith-built Cayman racecar at Barber that had the uprights attached to a piece that was bolted to the hatch w/o a base. 6 screws and it is off.
