Default Anyone know where the cabin air filter is located??

Well after a horrible time changing the stock air filter to a K&N filter ( K& N shows removal of the whole air filter Box to install the filter - good luck with that) . Doing it through the opening was a real challenge - Band clamp nightmare..

Well now I'm on a mission to find and change the cabin air filter but have no idea where it's hidden on the Cayman S.
PS if there is an EASY way any tips greatly appreciated!!

If it's like the Boxsters it is located in the front trunk near the passenger windshield wiper. Should be a plastic lid that is removed.

Very easy.

See my article on Planet-9: http://www.planet-9.com/reviews/serv...placement.html

It's about a 10 min. job.

You can buy these carbon filled cabin filters from Amazon for $20.. I just ordered 2 of them with free shipping. I took the old one out in 5 minutes and found it to be filthy with crud and leaves. Actually I cut a large central heating filter to size and installed this make shift version until the new ones arrive this tuesday. I have a 99 C2 cab but they have all filters for all models of Porsches, VW, BMW and Audi. Click here
