Installed WEVO motor and transmission mounts
Just finished installing the SS motor and transmission mounts on my 2008 Cayman S manual. Couple of thoughts:
1. Trans mounts took about an hour a piece.
2. SS Motor mount took a better part of the day. There is a long hidden torx bolt besides the 4 bolts that hold the motor mount to the motor. It turns out the OEM motor mount was split. I was wondering why I had a bad vibration that started at 1800 rpms and went up from there.
3. The noise is insane. What an animal. It totally changes the car.
Update: When going above 4k and shifting through the gears there is a wonderful backpressure-like noise. It sounds like an air-cooled 911 now.
4. The car is more planted and shifts are smoother.
5. There is alot of vibration. I heard it will settle down some. But that is also part of the new character. I do sense a bad vibration starting now at about 1400-1500rpms, but will have to give it time to see. I do not really know what motor vibrations are normal and what are not as I have not driven other Gen 1 cars.
Update: The vibration seems to has settled down at 1400-1500 but 2000k is the worst - just not bearable. I find I that driving at 1800-2000k rpm used to feel fine now really feels liking lugging the motor so I am shifting more now. A lot of the interior is vibrating and rattling now - dash, pillars, rear etc.
6. Car feels slower. Perhaps because of all the noise. Will have to see.
Update: Does not appear to be any loss of power.
I will post back as I have updates.

Wander, use this as additional sensory input to your driving. The stock mounts on this car are what you would expect to see on a Cadillac, going to a semi solid will not only help on sensory input for you, but better and more accurate shifts as well. Would not have anything else in a track car...

I would be very ineterested to find out what you think after few hundred miles. I have been thinking of doing the same change, but have been reluctant due to noise and vibrstion reports on 911s.
Will you be at the HPDC on Sept. 25 at Summit Point by any chance?

I will be at the Glen on Sept 20 & 21 and at NJMP Oct9 & 10. I don't street the car at all, the vibration is the car speaking to you, but as a DD I don't think anyone would enjoy it much.

Scott hope to see you Sep 20/21... will be stopping by to visit Thomas.
Did you upgrade to the CayS for CR permanently? This puts you into the H class... Now I have to stay out of your way...

Chris, I am looking forward to being back up at the Glen. Yes the 964 is on to another and this Cayman and I are getting to know one another...it's is very friendly with my wallet. As for permanent...what is?

What are your thoughts on the Flywheel & Remote Shock issue?
Myself I am not srue the Aluminum flywheel is a great option for the 3.4 motors... It would be to my advantage of they pushed the remote shock as a prepared change...

Even if slot are full, you may want to come to meet everyone and see if it is something you'd like to do.

Just posting an update. All in all I would do it again as the car would be too boring without this mod. The new engine sounds and transmission sounds are great. BUT, being that this Porsche interior is not the best quality with the obscene amount of plastic, the plastic vibrations/rattles everywhere are a bit much for me. I will keep the mounts and look for some ways to fix all the plastic interior issues.
