Potential Buyer
Hey guys Im thinking about buying a used or cert. pre owned cayman s. Im not interested in the 08 as much as I am the 09 and 10. My first question is how long do you think it will be before the price for 09 falls into the 40s? And what is/are the biggest differences performance wise between the 09 and 10. Looking for a bare bones manual cayman s to be used as a daily driver if that helps at all.

I would think 3 years before the price comes down. I do not believe there is much difference between the 2009 & 2010's. The big change is between the gen. 1 cars (06 - 08) & the gen. 2 cars (09 - 10).

I would agree with Driver8, you will probably have to wait at least 2-3 years to find an 09 selling for much under $50K, though you never know when you might run into a bargain. There isn't any performance difference between the 2009 and 2010 models.
