If so, got a link?
I have a guy on a Corvette forum asking the question.
I think the 911 engine will bolt up, just some electronics to deal with.
Thanks for any input.

Apparently it is next to impossible to put a GT3 engine in a Boxster/Cayman. Ruf and Farnbacher do install 3.8 liter power kit quipped engines though as they are buit on the same block as the Box/Cay engine. The GT1 derived engine in the GT3 and Turbo does not mate to anything in the Boxster it seems. The new 3.8 DFI engine with powerkit to 405 HP would be very interesting and probably fit.

There was an article in Excellence magazine a year or two (maybe 3) ago with a guy who dropped a GT3 engine in a boxster. If you have enough money you can do anything. At work now, if I remember when I get home I'll see if I have that issue of Excellence.
Also, Farnbacher does do the 3.8 and Ruf does a supercharger but I don't think Ruf does a 3.8 for the Cayman(S).

bob,
the GT3 motor and gear box will fit the cayman (flip the gear box upside down) and a lot of fabrication and oh.... most importantly lot of $$$$$.. for about $200k to $250k, FL or Ruf will get it done.
