Great write-up!!
Someday I'll get to TOD, a bit far from CA tho.

Consider doing the Porsche Driving Experience (PDE).
It will give you a whole new perspective about the capabilities of your Porsche

mmm... tail...
I have driven from GA several times to go run it -
in my 944 a few times, the 951 a few times, the Mazda 3, the GTI, the Honda CB-1, the Suzuki SV650S

That road is my favorite place to drive. But next time, check out the cherohala skyway.
And yes, the police are only worried about idiocy, not fun

*Yes 2 of them showed up when my friends A6TT went into a cliff wall very hard. They were cracking jokes at my friend the whole time, it was quite amusing.

By the way, if you didn't know about it... Sorry I had the pics at 10x10 but scroll down and you will see your car
Killboy sets up in one or two of the corners and takes pics and sells em... might be worth looking at.

That's it. Man, I was way off...

(I blame the fact that all American car mags look alike! )

sounds like the kind of place that draws the talented, the enthusiast, but also the drunk, the teenage and the "dead". Also some peeps are probably downright nasty if they get "stuck" behind someone WITHOUT a death wish maybe in a classic roadster or something NOT doing 80mph. The bikes probably pass cars in the oncoming lane, etc, etc, etc...

No I haven't... but being from Southern California I've seen the "canyon carving" crowds in some of the beach areas. And as I head into my 40's I notice the young kids and their bikes and cars and their bad habits. Heck when I was in my teens and 20's we street raced like crazy... dumb kids, lol.

Well, the couple of times I have been, I've never seen any passing. Even from the bikes. I've seen a few things that I thought weren't real smart and some guys who had more confidence than brains. However, I've never seen anything that really struck me as completely stupid. Certainly a lot safer than what I see in traffic everyday.

TBH, I'm impressed that there have been 0 fatalities in auto crashes there... I'd like to think there are a lot of responsible car people out there.
