Those interested in lowering their PASM-equiped Caymans might want to read K-Man's 5/28/06 post on the Cayman Tech forum at caymanclub.net. In brief, a Porsche suspension engineer told Ken that any lowering springs must be linear rate rather than progressive (as most lowering springs are). Lowering with progressive springs will lead to crummy dampening under load and early strut failure. The same restriction applies to other PASM-equiped models, including the GT3. Aftermarket suppliers are developing linear rate lowering springs, so some should be available soon.
