SAW one today!
Walking down the street in Paris, Rue Du Faubourg St Honoré. BRIGHT blue. Snapped some photos....they are on my mom's camera. I will post them within a few days. Car looks HOT from the back, CHEAP from the front, and pretty cheap from the sides. The front airdams would be SO much better if they didn't have the body color stripe cutting through them. If I had one I'd pain this stripe BLACK the DAY i bought it! And the side scoops also need to be body color, or carbon. Sweet looking car...but was upstaged by the M6 that went FLYING by it in an attempt to scare it.....the V10 sounds like industrial sex!

I thought I explained it. The car has details that look cheap in my opinion. The side vents are obviously flimsy plastic, and stand out too much, I PERSONALLY would prefer them in unpainted black....this is just me. And the stripes in the front airdams look like crap in my opinion.....if it were my car I would paint them black so that they would blend in better. Again, just my opinion. BUT, from the rear, PURE beauty!

I disagree,
I saw one at dealer yesterday (and sat in it, looked under it, etc.)
It looks fantastic from all angles (I am on my 7th 911, last 4 all being
"wide body" turbos). I think Porsche has a home run and if it drives,
handles, and performs like they say it will be a great seller.
cheers,
Marty K.

Nothing I saw on the car looked cheap to me........in fact it looks more expensive in person then in magazines. "Looked" more expensive than the 997 sitting next to it in the showroom......go figure.

I meant it looks cheap by PORSCHE standards from CERTAIN angles...I feel you guys think I hate the car, I still WANT one....I just dont like certain aspects. The M6 is ugly, but still has an impressive engine...

Over the weekend I saw the new Cayman S at a Long Island dealer. Metallic black with black leather interior. Looks terrific. Even my wife, who is a designer and normally prefers Italian cars, fell in love with it. They gave me the keys and let me drive it around their large parking lot (it's not for sale or the street until January) at will. My impression was VERY positive. Its a tight car with a good engine. Cornered like a demon. Seems to have a lot more room than a Boxster. Beautiful in metallic black. Thanking of ordering one
