Default Product launch Cutaway Cayman

I found these photos on a Taiwan Cayman Website. Nice Details.

I found it interesting that to get to the coolant tank cap, you will have to remove the engine cover, and that the tank is opaque. I guess there is a light for everything.

wow.. is it me or does the lay out look really awful from a maintenence stand point? i mean how do you check the oil or fill the oil or anything? you have to crawl into the trunk and access it through that pannel? and wouldnt you have trouble keeping everything clean on the pannel and trunk when doing it?

The oil will more than likely be checked using the electronic guage like what the 986/986/996/997 all have. As for adding oil, there is a flap on the ledge of the rear deck and the deeper rear truck area that can be seen in pics 1 and 2 that opens and behind the flap is the oil fill. I think there is a picture floating around with the flap open.

Here is a picture of the oil and coolant service access hatch. Oil and coolant levels are monitored electronically, like in the turbo and 997. Oil changes are now 20K miles, and I doubt that you will be in here to add oil very often. I don't think it is a big deal.

If you get the cutaway one, I'm sure adding oil would be very easy!
