If you look on the Euro order guide for all Porsche models it shows a few interesting options for the Cayman not available on any other model.....

"Advanced luggage locker"........wonder what this is, must be something in the rear hatch.

also

"Interior design package in exterior color"........really want to know what this is.

I wonder if that's like the painted center consoles of early Boxsters? ...but with more elements painted the exterior body color? Could be cool...

That's what I was thinking also.

One thing I did notice on the Silver/Blue car that has been shown around......was it had a white/cream colored headliner......what's up with that?

But then again I thought......its pretty much an all Boxster interior except for the headliner and carpet.......so it would probably make sense they could have built one with just any color and put it in......still strange and odd looking though.

Mike where have you seen the Cayman order guide? Do you have link?

I don't think I have seen the pictures of the Silver/Blue Cayman.

As I live in a hot climate this is a *big* concern for me.......hopefully Porsche is listening and will fix the problem......if indeed it is one, could just be a test mule abnormality though.

Next was the comment......"Without PASM, Rohrl's trip around the 'Ring would be three seconds slower."

$2k PASM upgrade for 3 seconds???.....did I get that right? I'll be sticking with the stock suspension thank you.
I doubt the heat will be an issue at all.

Re: $2k PASM for 3 seconds - I think that is a bargain! There can't be many $2k upgrades that give you 3 seconds on that track. (3 seconds in the near 8min realm is significant when ranking sports car on the ring).

Having said that, I would not order it if you intend to do tracking. (I've had it on my 997S and my 987S). I would go for the base suspension, then switch the springs and dampers for something lower and firmer - possibly from H&R. But then, maybe the "S" will come with standard?...

what if? sometime it makes me wonder if there's a car for 3 people that'd be really cool. Cayman will so awesome to have a third seat in the middle behind both front seats.

just a wish. it starts to grow on me anyways.
