Default Ideal specs for lightweight small motor cheap cayman

We in another post I talked that Ideally there would be stripped coupe version of the boxster cheaper than the 2.7 boxster.

Here is how I would like to see it...

Motor 2.7L standard boxster unit (ideally dry sump, but who am I kidding)

Weight 2500 lbs...

Cost 32k base

Here are the details

Lightweight features.

no sunroof
manual climate control none of this auto bull crap (a/c optional, love not have it but not possible in Az)
6 speed manual only (no tip)
manual seats thinly padded light weight with cut outs for harness (fixed backs) similar to real GT3 seats, but just cheaper
No NAV system possible
No electronic aids (ABS only)
Minimal air bags ( to save weight)
Minimal Sound proofing
Manual windows (if they reinvent the handcrank the could even call it a 'feature')
Two speaker stereo with one disc CD only (hey most portables can be 1-2 lbs so why not)
17in wheels (just enough to clear the std boxster brakes)
Gear limited to top speed of 150
No fog lights
No trunk carpet
Lightweight interior carpet
Manual steering
LSD
Stock boxster suspension (At 2500 lbs stock springs & bar will feel like sport springs & bars)

What else should this car NOT have!

Pretty nice config.....I would add.....or rather remove......

Fixed rear spoiler.
Even leave off the window crank, just do a strap.
No rear wiper or defrost.
Smaller battery, alternator, and A/C compressor.

Anything else??

Fixed rear spoiler... Heck how about NO rear spoiler (if they can get the aero to work) I hate those damn wings some grand ma's 4 cyl 100 hp sedan.

Strap vs crank. Yep that is what I was thinking. Something not like "crank", but some differnet you call a "feature" So instead of saying it has hand crank windows. Consider "race insprired maual window controls"

We don't need no stinkin' cup holders!

Oh, why do need a rear wiper? Dump It

(I really need A/C in Phoenix )

CF hood is ok only if it painted body color and really is lighter. Problem is it would probably cost more too.

Think light and cheap!

Body color body panels goes without saying in my book.

light and cheap. From my days a road racer (bicycles) we had a saying....There is lightweight, inexpensive and durable. Pick two.

Yeah, but most road cars today are saddled with so muchluxury crap that ligher can be cheaper too.

I am not taking about superlight like the Lotus (you know old style "well the race is 85 laps, build the car to last 86 laps, who cares if breaks on the cool down lap"), but without all the extra crap that we really don't need.

What I would really like is for them to produce a lightweight version of the Boxster, but with a center seating configuration available (like the old RSKs)!

Now that would be fun...Oh yeah, an RS version of the Cayman would be cool too.

M758, I'm with you, but I would:

Keep the 3.4 .. with a special oiling package or dry sump...yeah right
Cold air intake air box
Short throw shifter .. 6 speed
Big Boxster S steel brakes
Toss out the radio/CD player
Seam weld the chasis
delete sound proofing and undercoating
light weight carpet.... or maybe just delete it !!
light weight headliner
light weight free flow sport exhaust with small Cats..
I like the CF Hood / deck idea.
optional aero package with CF wing and front spoiler

Yeah that will about do it. Nice to dream about anyway.
