Default California Bay Area Tyres

Could anyone recommend a good place to get new tyres on my 2006 Cayman S ? I am in the Livermore area.

Lakeland,
I and several others I know order our tires from Tirerack and have them shipped to our installer. There are several other online sellers with whom I've also had good experience.

Im in Marin and i got my Michelins for my Carrera at Diamond tire on East Francisco here in San Rafael. They are great for hi end cars. No rim scratches, latest install equipment and were a few hundred bucks less than other shops. Might be worth a ride over there.

Another supporter of Diamond Tire in San Rafael. I would imagine they would probably work on tyres too.

I do Tire Rack and they can send to your tire installer of choice.

I would also ask your dealer's parts department for a quote. I found that Sonnen's quote was significantly cheaper than Tirerack, which was a first for me.

Used to get all my Porsche tires at Livermore Porsche. Go check with John B. in service about tires and installation prices. Often Livermore Porsche would be very competitive with discount tire stores and having a real Porsche tech lift the car properly and swap tires was much preferred.

Sorry, it took me a while to respond. I had to get up off the ground.

Speaking of tires, may I jump in on this thread please? Just bought my 1st 14Cayman Base w/17k miles. I'm looking at the oems Goodyear F1 Asymetric 2. They come in a 2ply and a 4ply however the price jumps w/4plys and I can't tell by looking at my tires if they are 2 or 4 ply. It should say but I can't see it. What tires are y'all using or trading up to? TIA dlb
