Do you guys swap out the Coils when doing spark plug service? 07' 987.1 S

Its time to do the spark plugs and am wondering if I should just swap out the ignition coils while I am at it

Car has 158K and coils+ plugs were changed at 124K

Do you guys change ignition coils on every spark plug service?

Only 30k on them? I would not.

I wouldn’t unless you detect missing or other problems.
It’s not a bad idea to have one or two coils on hand when you change the plugs however. Inspect the coils as you remove them and replace any that look cracked or suspect in any way.

Hopefully when they were replaced at 124K miles, they were done with the new thicker head coils. If that is the case, you should be fine. I replaced mine at 70K. 3 of the 6 were cracked.

Just went through service records from last 2 owners..

Plugs were done at 61K (no details or receipt..carfax info at Porsche dealer) , 93K and again at 122K.. with receipts.. NO mention of coils. Damn!!

Guess I am driving on borrowed time.. 157K as we speak...

I was just looking at this. I got 90k service coming up.
It got new plugs, coils, brake flush, belts at 60k.
I get oil changes every 5k miles (every 6 months).
So for 90k, I figure oil change, plugs...anything else the community recommends?
I have zero time for DIY, but an Indy here in Atl is excellent.

TIA
