Cayman base knocking
Hello guys I am here for some suggestions. I have a 08 cayman base with a M97 and I’m experiencing some knock, mostly noticeable when hot between idle and 3000 RPM. I’m a new owner and would like to know if there are parts available for the engine or if getting a used one is a better choice? Also if these parts or engines are available where can I get them?

I am not an expert so I cannot give a specific recommendation beyond that is would be a good idea to have the car properly evaluated by a qualified technician. Starting with a good diagnostic of the problem will save you money and heartache in the long run.
