Macan (or similar) Dash Clock in Cayman?
Yeah, another clock thread sorry, as I could not find any answers...
My 987.2 has the above clock / stopwatch installed as part of its Sport Chrono package.
The existing on-board configuration does not include the >Set >Clock >Chrono option, and as far as I know this was not part of the Cayman or Cayman S build for 2009.
Not tracking the car, a regular clock on the dash would be great!
My previous car had an eight day, manual wind, period aircraft clock on the dash, and the winding was a nice warm-up ritual.
No need for that now, but I miss the functionality.
Has anyone been successful in using a Macan or similar, later model dash clock.
I assume the CAN function exists, but otherwise needs programming...
Failing that, a 52mm VDO seems the best, somewhat Porsche-like option.
Either black (as done by someone already I note), or white to match the rest of the S dash...
Or, can I ask my local dealer for a on-board computer package update?
Note, the Porsche Communications Management (PCM) system is not available in Japan, due to domestic navi needs.
Thanks for any tips!
