Coolant refill / Air purge tool
Not paying dealer $800 Labor to replace my water pump.......I’d rather take that cash and invest it into a quickjack setup.
That said, what is available on the market and what is most recommended tool for purging trapped air during coolant refill?
Thanks!

That said, I'm not sure a vacuum setup is going to do much good on a partially filled system, you are still going to end up with air pockets.

Thanks. Looks like Schwaben has one also. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben...l/003466sch01/
If I need to completely drain the coolant I will to ensure a good refill.
I also need a good DIY reference thread if anyone knows of a good one.

I used the ecs tuning coolant tool with success. The water pump on the 987.2 was pretty easy. I also replaced the rubber hoses in the middle of the car.

For what it's worth, I've done my water pump twice and didn't use a vacuum either time. If you leave the bleeder tab up for a couple days of driving and keep some spare coolant in the trunk, it should burp itself (it has in my experience). When it burps, the coolant light will come on and you can top it off. The bleeders always seemed like more hassle than they were worth -- just my $0.02

Thanks for all the input everyone. I bought the Airlift 550000 from Amazon. I don’t drive the car on a regular basis, so prefer to just be done with it and have the job complete in one shot.
