Default New Cayman GT4 owner

Hello All-
I have joined the P-car group with my first ever Porsche purchase. Just picked up a fairly well optioned GT4 (PCCB, full leather, alt stitching, chrono..) with under 2000 miles. I traded in my 2016 AMG GTS. It was a fantastic car, but it was time to get into something a little more visceral. So far, I'm very impressed with the GT4. I have only driven it a couple hundred miles, and most were on the interstate. Although it's giving away over 120 hp to the AMG, it doesn't feel like it. I think the weight difference is about 800 lbs, so I'm sure that helps. My only complaint is that the car came from a state that requires a front plate, and my state does not. Therefore, I have 4 holes drilled in the front bumper cover. I've looked at the bumper plugs online, but that's just not going to be good enough. I'm going to have the holes filled and the bumper cover repainted.
I also picked up a VSC to extend the warranty. I have factory bumper to bumper until April of 2020. I bought the EasyCare Total Coverage 84 month warranty. I paid $3500 for it, which I thought was pretty decent. I was going to go with a Fidelity Platinum, but that was at least $2000 more and it seems like both companies have about the same amount of positive and negative feedback out there. I have 30 days to cancel the VSC if anyone can convince me otherwise.
Looking forward to putting some more miles on the car and learning more about P-cars in general. So far, Rennlist has been very helpful.
Jon

Congrats, GT4 is an awesome car.

I've never driven one on the road, but have had a couple of students with them on the track. That car is magic...

Father bought his GT4 new in 2016, absolutely loves it, and never intends to sell it. Enjoy it!

Thanks everyone. I've put about 100 miles on the car since getting it home. I'm really enjoying it. The sounds that this car makes are amazing! I'm having so much fun that I
don't even mind the squeaks from the CCBs!

That's a good looking one for sure. I had a Cayman GTS, now a Cayman R, the GT4 is surely a bit faster. You gotta take it to the track to get a real feel for what the car can do.

Boilerup1998, my kid's finishing up in ME this year in West Lafayette, hope he can afford AMGs and GT4s in a few years too!
