Grinding noise from steering column - 981
My 981 Cayman is making grinding noise near the steering column. It's sounds like plastic rubbing, doesn't happen constantly, and is not speed-dependent. Any guess as to what might have caused it?

I have no guess, but please let us know should you learn what has caused the grinding.
