Lots of postings on this forum re what to look for. Highly recommend getting a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) done by a Porsche dealership. (Or independent shop with a wealth of experience on Caymans.) May identify things you don't want to deal with or fix, and possibly save you a lot of money in repairs.

@Jackrwesty: With all 987.1 Caymans (produced 2006-2009), you should be careful of rear main seal leaks and/or metal shavings in the oil. Those signs can indicate a failing IMS bearing, which is difficult to service on these later cars.

With the exception of shocks, control arms, and bushings that may have failed after 85k miles, there isn't too much to worry about on these cars.

Get a PPI pre purchase inspection. 85K may be clutch time, brake time, shock time, control arm time. Just because it is "flawless" and "everything works" doesn't mean things are about to not work.
