Caliper leak Cayman 2007
Hello, recently had my caliper powder coated, on reinstallation I found two leaks while bleeding the lines. Both rear calipers, one from the link connector and the other one seems to come from one of the pistons. my question : -any way of stopping the brake fluid to go to the caliper while I take it apart? I tried pinching the rubber hose but it is very rigid and I am wondering if there is a metal core underneath the rubber, don’t want to damage anything.

You are not going to be able to pinch them off. You will need a cap. I looked and looked years ago and could not find an m10x1 Buble flare cap. You could use an adapter to AN-3 and and AN cap.

Or just put a balloon over it.
I would be concerned over the leak though. Sounds like your powdercoater got coating on the seats. Need to be careful cleaning that up without scratching the seat.
Best of luck

Thanks Bern, I don't need that part. I got a bigger problem now, it would appear that Porsche don’ Sell the pistons seals, they only sell the dust boot. I wrote to Brembo, hopefully I'll be able to get them going through the company...
what seemed to be a nice little project is turning out to be an adventure

You can buy aftermarket rebuild kits that include both dust seals and the piston seals. An example is from Zeckhausen Racingm https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/p...oducts_id=2665 but just google Porsche caliper rebuild kit and you find more sources.
