Default Window Tinting Question

Tried to get my windows tinted today on the S and didn't because they wanted to pull the door panels and the entire inner hatch covering on the back. Seemed to invasive to me. Is this reasonable to do? And if so, any tips or advice?

Thank you.

They shouldn't need to, a skilled installer is minimally invasive...ask another shop.

That is totally unnecessary. I have had many Porsche’s tinted and never has the installer had to remove anything. My installer charges around $200.00 and has done a perfect job on all my cars. Go to another installer.

Didn't have to do any of that on my '08 Cayman and it turned out very good. The only thing that bugs me is that those little painted/etched "dots" around the edges of the factory glass in the rear hatch glass and on the two small side windows behind the seats will show air bubbles that are near impossible to get out. I took mine back twice and watched them work to try and remove them all to no avail. Not sure what purpose those "dots" serve.
