Default oil pooling on top of engine any guesses

I was getting ready to change the starter alternator cable and saw this pooling on the driver top side towards the front of the engine
Any guess where the oil is coming from?

Power steering fluid. That puddle is right behind the power steering pump.

When I took the motor out of my new to me Cayman, the whole engine was coated in oil.. Turns out someone had removed the power steering resivior and did not get it sealed correctly.

So apparently theres also an overflow for the power steering that dumps it right there too

Any one considered a catch can?

You should not have overflow from the power steering. If it's dumping fluid, either the reservoir was overfilled, or you've got a leaky seal somewhere which is causing the system to suck air and foam up the fluid in the reservoir.
