You'd be surprised. These cars are Porsches. They hold their value well and therefore banks are pretty willing to give loans on them especially if you have decent credit. If not, get that fixed first then this will come.

Guy seems serious (hope so anyway). Gotta respect him for at least having the minerals to ask on this forum.

Good luck young man!

Agreed..

sounds like an enthusiast with a passion but nor currently in the position to buy whatever he wants..

We have all been there

If you want it bad enough, it will happen.. but do it properly, and dont own something that is hard/expensive to maintain properly. Good luck

Been doing track type events for 15+ years now... While they are generally safe and fun, sht does happen. Sometimes as no fault of your own, and insurance is not in effect.

Two hard rules :
1) Don't take a car to the track that you are not willing to walk away from.
2) Don't take someone else's car on the track unless you can write them a check for it at the end if the day.

Glad to see the passion for the brand and the sport. Be smart about it.

This is a reason I don't track my GT4 anymore, but picked up an '09 Cayman S to track instead.

I understand the passion and craving. I felt the same before being able to buy one. Most places will give you a loan for a car several model year old. Save some more for a down payment, and make sure you have some money aside for maintenance....sounds like you are getting close.
In the meantime, spend a few hundred and attend some of the exotic track events like Extreme Experience. I drove a 911 GT3 for 3 laps for about $200. Fun
good luck
