Default 718 Safety info

I am getting interested in a new base Cayman purchase. As part of my due diligence I am trying to find unbiased safety rating data to compare to other cars.
Searches on the web and RL have been fruitless.
Can the brain trust help me?

http://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings But historically IIHS has had a lot of insurance industry politics tied to their ratings. Oops, look like they don't rate Porsches.

I saw that one too, Thanks for trying.
Does anyone know what the rating on a Cayman actually is? I am working under the assumption that it is high but you don't know until you know.
There must be some people on this board that have access to crash test data on Porsches. Maybe I will try on another forum.

I would imagine the ratings are very high, especially for front impacts (with no engine under the front hood, the whole frunk becomes a crumple zone in a hard front hit - similar to Tesla).

+1 for white924s' comment. I did a quick internet search for safety-related complaints or issues for the Cayman, and didn't find any. There are also some images of crashes involving Caymans on the internet, and the vast majority show the passenger compartment being intact despite some severe damage to the rest of the vehicle. Porsches are designed to be driven at higher speeds than most cars, and safety is a primary design consideration.
