I tried to start up my Cayman yesterday and the System Fault icon (rectangle with lightning bolt) showed up on my on board computer. At the same time I turned the key in the ignition the car did not start but the spoiler started to raise and lower automatically, the stereo turned on and off repeatedly, and the wipers started going haywire. And now the battery is dead with the key stuck in the ignition.

Any thoughts as to what could be happening here? The car has been meticulously maintained with good service history.

Yeah a dead battery can do very odd things.

So can demonic possession. Is she named Christine by chance?

Battery is only about a year old.
